OUR STORY …
Herman overheard a conversation recently that terribly upset the little mouse. It happened at a business (unnamed) downtown in Chucktown. A polite man sitting at a customer service desk redirected a troubled customer to another location. According to the customer service representative, he was a problem solver. He wasn’t the person who did the service.
IT IS WRITTEN …
The Bible places a high degree of importance on service to one another. It says that we are to serve each other with whatever gifts we have received (1 Pet 4:10). In other words, we are to help each other whenever we can.
We are all customer service representatives in the Kingdom of God. We are all customers too. One never need go any further than the nearest person to find service. And we must always be prepared to serve the ones near us too.
LIFE GOES ON …
It didn’t make any sense to Herman that a customer service person wouldn’t actually serve a customer in need. That was just one of many things in the modern world today that Herman was having trouble understanding.
“What if we did business the way Jesus wants people in the Kingdom of God to operate?” Herman wondered. How might the world be changed if love and service were the most important things?
It’s an amazing thought. It’s a grand idea. And some day, it will be a reality too.
COOL2B …
That’s our story and we’re sticking to it. It’s cool to be Catholic. COOL2B!
In Christ.
